being charged of intentionally damage other's property

DA try to do a plea bargain and I was charged by the following:

http://www.nycourts.gov/cji/2-PenalLaw/145/145-00(1).pdf

Under our law, a person is guilty of Criminal Mischief in the
Fourth Degree when, having no right to do so nor any reasonable
ground to believe that he or she has such right, that person
intentionally damages2 property of another person.

my wife claims I throw desk and books.

I did destroy some books, but i never throw desk.

How do I defend myself?
