加州的confidential marriage

No wedding, no ring, no vow, no ceremony (either civic or church), no presence in county/court/judge ......

之前斷斷續續同居大約兩個月. 臨時決定是基於某人隻能在加州短暫停留.

在某notary填了confidential marriage license, 一周後收到confidential marriage certificate, 上麵有個未謀麵的marriage minister的簽字.

之後12年, 種種原因, 兩人同居一個國家的時間大約兩年.

年輕力壯, 得兩孩. 獨自撫養. 其間到了加拿大, graduate school, 找工, 搬遷.

12年後的某人回複是不可能過來團聚, 隻能算了.

等辦妥了離婚, 教會也dissolve the relationship based on pauline privilege.

回過頭來, 反而迷糊了, 這婚算正式結過嗎? 如果不是, 費力離的倒是一套正式的手續, 加拿大什麽事兒都得有板有眼的程序.

加州的同誌給說說, 上述的confidential marriage certificate 是不是在加拿大合法.
