如何能合法的趕走租客？

我住在紐約市，租了一個房子，因為太貴，找人分擔了。可是合租的人不肯付電費。我跟他理論，他不但不聽，還要跟我動粗。我想趕走他，他自然不會輕易的離開。不知道該用什麽合法的方式？我並沒有和他簽合同。
