Sorry to hear that. You are in trouble. You should contact a lawyer as soon as possible. Basically you will be charged with a crime such spouse abuse or something like that. If you plea guilty, no contest, you will be asked to take anger management classes, and a probation. The case will be dismissed. You will have a criminal record.

A lawyer can probably help you reduce the charges through plea bargain. If you can't afford a private one, you can find a free public attorney. They are preety good sometimes.

A criminal record will have some negative impacts on your immigration and employment as well as career development. You can not do this again. You should be OK if you find a lawyer ASAP.
