請問懂法律的朋友，到底我可以找DA嗎？

看到有朋友說夫妻2人可以一起找DA，讓他drop the charge of misdemeanor of Domestic Battery. 但是昨天一個律師助理告訴我，我不可以見DA。因為DA看到我，可以給我傳票，到時候我就必須上庭指證我LG。請問如果這樣，我可以給DA寫信嗎？似乎我什麽都做不了。連聽證我都不可以說話。
整個事情，如果他們真的認為我是受害者，難道不可以聽我的意見嗎？我根本就沒有charge我lg，是那個多事的路人沒有問我就打了911。美國到底是個什麽法律！！！這就叫保護配偶？！
