Thanks for the reply! So you sure the certificate is

valid accoring to the divorce law of the U.S.? The reason I ask this is: I heard that if both parties are in the U.S., they shouldn's ask representives to do the divorce for them in China. The certificate issued by 法院 is invalid. If this is true, it will be a serious problem for my 485 application.

you mentioned the replacement.Do you mean the copy of the divorce certificate?

Can you share your experience if it is possible?
