That depends. If you went to the ER and your son was treated by a spcialist, the charge would be higher.The relocation for a nursemaid's elbow in a kid is simple and it is possible some primary care physicans can do that too. The orthopaedists can be a primary care physicians (D.O) or a speicialists(Surgerons for reconstruction of skeleton).So there is no fault for the doctor.As a whole, the charge for treatment for such a trivial disease depends pretty much on the doctor and the insurance company would take whatever the doctor filed for granted.
