I need to hire a lawyer to defend me in a civil case. Because I have to disclose all personal asset information, I really want someone who are reputable and ethical. My legal insurance has provided a lawyer's name to me, but I couldn't find any background information of him on the internet. I have heard that Martindale.com is a good place to check lawyers' specialty and reputation. I checked there and his name is not there either. So how does Martindale-Hubbell come up with their list? If a lawyer's name is not there, does it mean that he is not good enough? 法居士 and other professionals, please help me with this. Thank you very much!
