回複:How to pick a good lawyer pls?

You can go to the local bar assiciation of your state, city, or county, which provides lawyer-referring service. You may also find lawyer's ad on newspapers, local tv, or other type of media, like radio. Martindale is one search engine. No search engine is perfect. You may compare it with the similar type of services provided by law.com, findlaw.com, or other like website. If a lawyer's name does not appear in the list, it does not necessarily mean he is not good. Maybe he just does not like that kind of publicity. You do not need worry too much about confidentiality issue. A lawyer in a speicific state is bound by the ethic rules of the state bar association, which I believe has afforded high protection for your confidential information. If a lawyer violates such confidentiality rule by either disclosing your info to a third party in your detriment or using your info for his own benefit, you may report his conduct to the ethic and professional responsibility committee of the bar association, and sue him on the ground of malpractice, he will be reprimanded/suspected, or even di*****arred (lose his license), by the committee.
