First, you need to prove that you sent it and how much you insured it for.

Second, they will refund the amount it was insured, or the default amount in their policy.

You can't sue them for anymore... Because if they lost your passport and made you miss a flight that actually crashed, which means they saved your life, will you reward them?

Use FedEx or UPS next time.
