A person holding and in possession of real property as joint tenant or tenant in common, （和別人共同擁有房產的人） in which has an estate of inheritance, （要麽是繼承得來）for life, （要麽是有生之年擁有）or for years, （擁有權限於年數）may maintain an action for the partition of the property, (可以要求和其他共有房主分拆地產）  and for a sale if it appears that a partition cannot be made without great prejudice to the owners." （如果無法在避免很大傷害的前提下分拆，可以要求買）。

就是說，幾個人繼承了爸媽一份地產，其中任何人可以要求把地產分成幾小份（比如一個農場），如果無法分拆（比如一個居民屋），任何人可以要求賣出後分錢。
