怎樣無風險解雇員工？

小本買賣，雇了幾個人手。其中一個G經常說謊，出工不出力。本來她說要照顧小孩，所以一周要求在家工作2天。俺也就同意了。結果每次在家最多也就幹2-3小時的工作，卻報滿8小時。現在有另一個雇員要搬倒別州去，俺就對G說現在情況不允許了，必須在辦公室來。結果她就說寫了下麵的郵件：

Thank you for your time today. I will have to be remote tomorrow as discussed and will be able to do the following work: xxxxxxxxxxxx. Please let me know if you are OK. In case it is not, I would like to take a paid day off. Based on our previous discussions, as an employee I would have paid days off.

俺公司規定一年之後才有Paid Vacation. 她來才2個月。而且也沒有她所謂的 discussion. 這實在有點欺人太甚了吧。俺就想隔天過來就跟她說對不起，你被解雇了。這是你的支票。交出鑰匙，電腦走人吧。

不知有甚法律問題要注意嗎？俺公司在加州。G是Employee。
