朋友租車，加錯了柴油，怎麽辦

剛從國內來的朋友在租車公司租車，期限一年，上周外出，結果加油時搞錯了，加成柴油。車開到半路無法啟動，公司叫拖車拖走，又給他另外一輛車臨時開。我的朋友心裏很忐忑，自己是否需要承擔責任，接下來應該怎麽辦？
