You probably won't win, but they might settle

On one hand, you can counting on their reluctance to make this case into news.

You start with $2000.
$400 medical expense,
$800 pain and suffering, usually 1.5 - 5 times of the medical expense.  This minor injury probably calls for 2. 
$800 lost income from clinic visit and lost productivity.

Be ready for settle for less. How about refund of your hotel stay?

On the other hand, the hotel might have many cases like this in the past, and they think they can win in court. So they won't settle. Your case is very weak, after all.

Either way, if you don't ask for it, you'll never get it.
