In domestic violence and stalking situation, sometimes the abuser verbally abuses the victim without breaking a law, and the victim cannot have the abuse arrested or stop. In such a case, after getting a restraining order, if the abuser violate the order to communicate with the victim in any way, the victim can have him arrested. That is to say, restraining order creates a reason to have the abuser arrested when he did not violate a law.
In your case, throwing eggs to your house is already a crime: destruction of property. If you have video evidence of them throwing eggs, you can call police and have them arrested. You do not need a restraining order to create a reason to arrest them.
Other than that, I suggest you try some common sense solutions before escalate this into a legal fight.
Another reason why restraining order is not proper
