請教-海關扣了我的東西

去年底回國和姐姐一起逛街時看到漂亮的蛇皮包，價錢還好。就想著剛好過節時可以做為禮物送給我的婆婆和老公的姐姐所以就多訂了幾個，大大小小有6個。之後我回美國。兩個星期後姐姐收到廠家做好的包就用EMS寄給我了。可我一直都沒有收到，一查才知道是被海關抽查扣了。昨天海關的人打電話來說我的包是瀕危動物皮需要cites 證明. 海關的人還勸我放棄我的包。可我總共也花了一千美元.

肯請有經驗的大俠們幫忙指點明路。
