You may apply for guardianship of a person, property or both. We only applied for guardianship of a person, my nephew. To the best of my knowledge, as guardians, we need to make decisions that may best benefit the ward, such as medical emergency, all responsibilities that the school request,etc. The guardianship will end when the ward turns 18. As guardians, we need to submit an annual report on time (very easy to do).
