Do not know which state you are in. In California, you should do this:
Safe guard everything. Put them in a storage if you will. Since you know A is possibly with his wife and you know the address, you need to write a notice, mail or deliver the notice to that address, with the following:
1. Itemize everything. Take picture if possible.
2. Specify a deadline, no less than 15 days.
3. Give the address.
4. Tell the tenant that you intend to charge storage fee.
5. Tell the tenant what you intend to do with his property (see below).
If the property is under $300, you can do whatever you want after the notice period. If it is over, you need to do a public auction, which will be handled by the court. The proceeds will pay for the auction, your storage fee. If there is a remainder, it will be furnished to the state so that A can claim it later. Check your local law to see if it is similar.
