If you have time and want to save money, go to court. Sometimes the judge can be merciful. Give good accounts of your case, such as:
1. Your driving history is very clean, if this is true; especially if you have years of driving experience.
2. If you are a new driver, explain this too and make it firm that you will not violate this again and will strictly follow all traffic regulations;
3. Explain that you worked long hours that day and were very tired, eager to go home, etc. and thus neglect to stop because no car on the street, etc.
4. Explain the toys are for babies/children and they were placed there by mistake, and they did not block your eyesight.
5. Offer to go to a driving class.

Hopefully these can make the judge think another way and waive your fine.
