The employer cannot force you to quit unless

you are incompetent for the job or did something wrong such as lying in your resume. That's clearly not in your case. Your boss cannot fire you simply because he doesn't like you, that will be discrimination. What some bad employers will do is to make your working conditions intolerable so you have to quit, which is called "constructive discharge" as someone mentioned above, and that is illegal.
