But your answer doesn't fit this case since the letter has already said the bonus was awarded to my good performance. The only reason from that company is that when the bonus was paid on that day I was not employed anymore.
My argument might be useful is that 1) bonus is for my previous year's performance according to the job offer; 2) when the letter was issued to me, I still worked for that company. Do you think these reasons are reasonable?
