In this photo released by the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam on August 27, 2009, a rock supposedly brought back from the moon, and a note from the then-U.S. ambassador is seen. The museum, more noted as a repository for 17th century Dutch paintings, announced it had had its plum-sized “moon” rock tested, only to discover it was a piece of petrified wood, possibly from Arizona.
