PEKING，一篇英語課文(1976年)

千言萬語。不妨從懷舊開始。哈哈，誰都有這一天。

1976年，剛剛打到四人幫，我上初二。當時老師要求背誦、默寫的一篇英語課文，名叫“PEKING”，不知怎的，到今天竟然還記得。

記憶力說明或不說明些什麽，我倒不管，隻覺得好玩，您也來一起玩玩，熱鬧唄！

                                                                        PEKING

Peking is an old city with a long history. It’s witness of the change life of the Chinese people. They had suffer in the past and happiness today.

Since the liberation, especially since the Culture Revolution, great changes have taken place in Peking. The old city is taking on a new look. Thousands of the factories and schools have appeared, many more new buildings are rising everywhere.

…Performance is going new. Boys and girls are singing and dancing. Workers, peasants, solders are watching. There are many foreign friends in the park.

Look! They are coming! People is shouting ”Works all of the countries, united!”
