I am just that bunch of people
William Howard Taft, the 27th President of the United States, was once stuck in a countryside train station of Hicksville for quite a while.
It happened he heard that the express train might make a stop if there would be many people in waiting.
Just for a moment the train dispatcher received a telegraph saying there were a bunch of people waiting in Hicksville.
When the train stopped at Hicksville station, Taft stepped on the train alone. He told the puzzled conductor: “The train can set off now. I am just that bunch of people.”
