Conference presentation usually only publish the abstracts in the meeting proceedings. Since they do not require any peer-review process, thus they are not considered "papers" according to INS.
Also because they are not published by normal peer-reviewed journals, it is not collected by paper databases, like PubMed, ISI, or Google Scholar. Thus no citation will be found. And anyway who will cite only a abstract?
The only thing useful in a conference is the invited speach. If you can provide the initial invitation letter from the conference to ask you to give keynote speech, that really counts!
Good Luck
Conf abstracts are NOT papers
