Yes, it happened to me 4 months ago when i had my I-485 interview based on marriage in DC.My case is still pending because FBI name check hasn't completed yet.I suppose there are 3 things we could do at this point--1. Fax a name check requst monthly; 2. Write to congress person and explain your urgency in the best way you can. 3. NEVER LOSE HOPE. Ultimately the system works, its just slow for some of us.
