I also heard that labor cert. is for a future position. So I understood that the beneficiary (my wife) could start to work after she receives the green card (but in America you could change your jobs at any time, so does this mean that she does not even need to work at all after getting the green card? Of course INS does not want this happen, but how can INS know and why does INS have the power to stop people's free will?)
However, I also heard that some applicants could be selected for green card interviews after filing 485, and they were asked to show pay stubs. So does this mean the applicants/my wife must apply for EAD after filing 485 (but isn't EAD application optional, not mandatory?)
