泣求指點on H1 extension

請問：各位好心人：由於international office 於human resource 在prevailing wage 的　爭持（my position change from postdoc to associate scientist)加上年未假期導置我的Ｈ１extension application 未能及時遞出，my last H1I797 expired at 01/02/2005,現在international office 答應以最快時間遞出我的application.因此即是如此，也已有一天的GAP,
請問這種情況下會有十麽樣的後果？１，會導致Ｈ１extension rejected? 2,對ＧＣ　申請有無影響？３，有無任何補救措施？
