are you are U.S. citizen that is petitioning for them? if yes, they should file I-485 package ASAP and they can still adjust theie status in the U.S. However, if they are out of staus for more than 6 months, they are subjected to the 3-10 years bar if they reenter on advance parole. To sum up: if you are US citizen,you parents can still adjust, but never use advance parole.
