8老師你好！請問CONSULAR PROCESSING是否適用於both 配偶 and 小孩? 朋友在美工作，配偶和小孩不在。現在排期已到，是否可以先提交AOS 485, 然後配偶和小孩在國外提交I-824？盼告知具體procedure, 謝謝.

-Because the spouse and the kid are not physically present in US, they cannot file I-485, but your friend can file I-485 witin US first. Then, his spouse and kid can enter US to file I-485 later. They had better enter US as soon as possibe.

Another choice is that your friend can file I-824 to for his spouse and kid to apply for the immgirant visa outside US if they cannot enter US soon, but USCIS will not approve the I-824 until his I-485 is approved.
