There is NO police involved in my case. I just got a letter from DMV asking me if I had a valid insurance or not on the date of XXXX. I went to DMV myself and told them I didn't have one at that time, but I did have one right now. Then the DMV said I should still pay the fine and let me go. That's all. BTW, I didn't drive when my driver license got suspended.
