尊敬的8老師，在壇子裏學著不少，7月初我遞交了父母的綠卡申請連同I-131。這月初收到了他們的各兩張一模一樣帶照片的AP，為期一年。正式綠卡還沒到。我計劃明年暑假6月帶孩子回國並和父母一起返美路上好照應。針對這些種種，我有幾個問題：
1、假如他們下月初就離開美國，之後不久綠卡就寄到家裏了，他們再來美國時應該用正式綠卡還是讓他們用AP回來？
-Had better use AP to come back before the AP expires.
2、如果用AP回來，他們可以在國內一直待到AP到期日前才入美國嗎？
-Yes.
那張AP紙什麽時候用到？離境時出示，出示給誰？
-Chinese Customs Officer.
入境時出示？
-US IO at the port of entry. Tell them the I-485 was approved during their travel (you may write a letter to explain it if your parents do not know English well, then they just provide the letter and the AP to the IO).
3、如果用綠卡回來，即我必須寄綠卡回去嗎？很擔心寄丟了，即便用的特快專遞。
-That is an issue. I have heard some people lost it during the mailing.
4、如果用綠卡回來，是不是他們最好在離開美國後半年內返美？還是可以多待幾個月？期限以綠卡生效期計算還是以他們出境日期來算？他們和我都希望他們能在國內待長些，有很多事要處理，這樣再返美就沒有太多牽掛的。
5、如果他們等待著等正式綠卡下來以後再回國，這期間可以拿AP乘cruise去拉美嗎？
-Not AP, but use the green card to travel.
