8laoshi, What's the "Priority Date" on I140 Receipt Notice?

Dear 8 laoshi,

I received the I-140 receipt notice.  The "Priority Date" listed on the receipt was NOT my PERM priority date, it was the date when USCIS received my I-140 package.  Is this correct?  Much appreciated.
