我現在拿的是新加坡人的h1b1 工作簽證。公司支持我申請outstanding researcher 類別的綠卡。我的律師說我可以直接從h1b1申請綠卡。是真的嗎?
-Yes, but if you apply for the green card, you can not extend your H1B1 status anymore after your current H1B1 expires. So, you need to get the EAD to work if you can file I-485. But if you were born in Mainland China and your EB1B I-140 is denied, you will have a problem to stay and work in US. So, you had better to change your status to H1B in this case.
據我所知，h1b1是non immigration visa. 要先換成h1b才能申請綠卡。
