回複：H1B1 to green card

請教城裏的資深律師，
 

我現在拿的是新加坡人的h1b1 工作簽證。公司支持我申請outstanding researcher 類別的綠卡。我的律師說我可以直接從h1b1申請綠卡。是真的嗎? 
-Yes, but if you apply for the green card, you can not extend your H1B1 status anymore after your current H1B1 expires. So, you need to get the EAD to work if you can file I-485. But if you were born in Mainland China and your EB1B I-140 is denied,  you will have a problem to stay and work in US. So, you had better to change your status to H1B in this case.

據我所知，h1b1是non immigration visa. 要先換成h1b才能申請綠卡。
 

要是弄錯了，我就怕將來這移民傾向沒辦法解釋。-Very reasonable to worry about it. See my above explanation. Had better change to H1B unless your qualification is very strong for EB1B.
