我老公已經續簽H1b3年兩次，因為在申請綠卡(拿到了勞工卡I140,正在等排期），得以每年續簽H1b（今年剛剛續簽過）.麵臨被解雇，理論上需要10天之內離境。

我也有H1b,可以讓他轉成H4留在美國，可是如果他在找到工作，還可以transfer H1b到新的工作並不算入當年配額麽？

-It seems he is in the 7th or 8th year H1, right? If so, as long as his current employer (the I-140 sponsor) does not withdraw the I-140, he can use it to extend/transfer his H1 later when he find a new job and not need to get the new H1 quote. If his employer withdraw his I-140, he can not get the H1 anymore unless he stay outside US for one year so that he can get a new h1 quote for another 6 year term.

還是因為6年H1b用盡需要新單位重新申請H1b並占用當年配額?

若是受配額限製找工作就要困難的多，是不是他不應該走H4而是想別的辦法呢(比如去申請一個program重做學生，可是他已經有了很多學位（本科碩士博士），再讀一個純屬浪費時間金錢。
