I used Wells Fargo as my checking account. All the checks I issued would appear in the bank's webpage as (just an example):
01/04/12 | CHECK # 2575 | $39.53 |
When I click the "View", an electronic copy of the check (with both front and back sides) will pop out. All other checks worked in this way, except the check to the USCIS, which shows in the bank's webpage as:
01/10/12 | USCIS PHOENIX LO PAYMENT 120107 PJPMC112??????? | $1,070.00 |
I could not click and see the check at all. Comparing the above statement to the statement that I paid Citi credit card electronically from my checking account and it showed as:
01/16/12 | CITI CARD ONLINE PAYMENT 120115 1306380??????? | $540.56 |
This makes me quite wonder that the USCIS may take our payment as electronically fund transfer, instead of cashing the checks.
