USCIS take our payment in the from of electronic fund transfer, instead of cashing the actual check. In other words, our checks provide only the checking account and routing number information. In this way, the USCIS makes sure it takes the exact amount of money it needs, regardless whether we write the check for $1 or $2000.
-No. The check will be cleared and the copy of the check will be retuned to the bank either electronically or by mail. You can go to your bank to get the copy of the check (print-out and may pay a few dollars to the bank for the print-out). Otherwise, the copy of the check will be shown on your monthly account statement.
