收養的小孩H4拒簽Update, 8 teacher in please

8 teacher, here is the update for our re-apply H4 visa. We had in-person interview for a H4 visa on behalf or my adopted child recently and the visa officer had no questions to ask and only said the child is not eligible for a H4 visa based on American's laws. We argued there is no such law for adoption related to nonimmigrant and we were not allowed to explain more and were dismissed.

Do you think we should try to apply a B2 visa immediately for the adopted child since we applied for a wrong visa category (H4)? Were there any sucessful stories with a B2 visa? I feel so frustrated and thanks so much for everyone's help!!

-Yes. Provide a letter with the visa application to justify that H4 visa is dual intent as I suggested above. You or your spouse may go to China to apply for the H1 visa together with your child's H4 visa application.

因為綠卡估計在3-4個月批下來，到時H1B作廢了，H4就簽不成了，隻能去簽B2了。另外，我們原來在廣州簽，還回廣州簽還是到其他使館。

-Your child can apply for the H4 visa in any one of the US Consulates in China such as in Shanghai, Beijing, etc.

聽說廣州是最嚴之一。
