Thank you very much for your time and attention in advance.

I have sent out all my I-485 materials to Phoenix, AZ.on Jan. 2. USCIS informed me that they have received my stuff but need to mail them to Nebraska Service Center.They have also offered me a receipt number. Do you know why USCIS let us send our applications to AZ first and then they send them to a different place? Have USCIS in AZ office done anything before they mailed my materials to Nebraska for instance they have done the basic processing? or in this way, they could speed up I-485 processing?

-The Dallas/Phoenix Lockbox is just responsible for collecting the application materials and then, forward the application to TSC or NSC for processing and approval.

I know this questions must be weird. I've been waiting for GC for so many years and just want to get through this painful process as soon as possible.
