To Whom It May Concern,

 

We are a group of people who have applied our permanent residencies under EB2 and EB3 category. It is extremely unfair that the priority date of EB1 is much advanced than the other two categories while the latters have been waiting in line for a significant long time. This unfairness becomes even worse when we have seen in many cases the applicants moved their category from EB2 to EB1 through manipulating their resume and academic experiences. They boasted in the internet forums how they used their social network, even through house-keeping for exchange, to get recommendation letters from other professors, and how to exaggerate their contributions in a research work.

 

We are concerned that:

1. Most EB2 applicants have made and are still making great contribution to this country for years through their talents, tax payments, and hard work. Most EB1's research works, if valuable, have to take years to turn to practical values. It does not make sense to sacrifice the ones who ARE contributing to this country for those have NOT yet.

2. The current criteria of EB1 qualification have flaws. It gives chances for some people to take advantage of it. We think it should weight more on awards rather than recommendation letters.

 

We therefore request that USCIS take tighter measures to process EB1 applications and accelerate the EB2&3.
