863211, please help with HIB extension

Dear 863211, This is my second time H1B extension after 6 years stay. The lawyer said she has all the paper ready but has to wait until we got approved from department of labor. She told me that the labor condition application was submited to DOL but we did not have an answer yet.

Why takes so long? The time is so tight now. Last time the extension is faster and I saw the form:"Electronic filing of labor condition application for H1B nonimgrant visa program".

Is that normal? It is been one month already.I am worried. Please let me know if you have opinions. Thanks a lot!!!
