I have been discussing my situations with 8老師. I am F1. My grace period ended last year. So, if I have an offer, the options I have in my mind are
(1) start with CPT--> H1B,
-Best way if the school offer you CPT.
(2) apply for H1 B and start working on Oct 1st,
-Doable and good choice if the employer has no problem for you to begin your work on Oct. 1.
(3) start with J1 --> H1B.
-You will have to get J1 waiver later before you can change your J1 to H1, not good choice.
Is it possible for me to apply for a community college and use CPT there if the current university doesn't allow me to use CPT?
-Don't think it will work because F1 undergraduate students have to have been lawfully enrolled in an academic degree program full-time for at least one academic year to be qualified for CPT.
Graduate students whose academic curriculum requires
all students to start an internship before completion of the first academic year may obtain CPT authorization sooner.
