之前shelter給我一個legal aid的電話，但他們給我安排那個人不是真正的attorney,是paralegal.但因為我一直忙於離婚，還沒開始辦這個。

上周,immigrant law centre 給我一個volunteer 移民律師，她是 licensed attorney,不是助理之類的，她給我打了一次電話，感覺比較有經驗。但有一點是她說，如果將來我離開這個州，從我離開那天起她就不能繼續代理我了。

-You had better use this immigration lawyer for free, otherwise you need to hire another lawyer who may charge you $5000 or more. Also, abused-based green card application will be approved very fast.

我還沒開始辦轉10綠這個事情，現在打算開始辦了，但不知道該用哪個好，也不知道paralegal跟attorney的水平差多少還是沒什麽大的區別，這2個人都說我的受虐轉10綠這個不基於離婚，我可以現在就提交申請，不必非等到離婚後，

我現在比較猶豫不知道用哪個好，因為等我離婚後，提交10綠申請後，打完指紋就會離開這個州，因為我不想待在這裏，怕我丈夫找我再傷害我，i have to stay away from him。我想用那個attorney，雖然她說我搬走後她就不能繼續代理我，但我想最重要的部分還是提交申請時的所有paperwork和證據，提交完申請，剩下的基本就是等了，中間程序也沒什麽，也就是最後一個麵試，也不一定非要有律師。那個paralegal感覺比較細心，但我感覺他好像沒那個attorney有經驗。那個attorney說整個程序從提交申請到拿到大概需要10個月左右。

You do not need to worry about your spouse will hurt you because the police will protect you. If you feel unsafe (e.g. he is around you), call 911 immediately. Anyway, everything will be fine and life will continue.
