那就是說，在485pending期間，一定要有有效的h1b才行？
-Not have to be H1, any legal status or just with AOS will be fine.

不是說隻要交了485 就可以在美國合法等綠卡，即使當時沒有有效身份也行嘛？
-Correct.

What I want let you understand is that you have to have a job or have a job offer when USCIS ask your employment status and then, USCIS can approve your I-485. Otherwise USCIS will deny your I-485. If you do not have a non-immigration status such as H1, you have to leave US after your I-485 denial. Before your I-485 denial, you have not problem to stay in US even if you do not have a non-immigration status such as H1, etc.
