Thanks for your concern, I understood, but the job market is really bad now, and I doubted that I can find something soon, I actually want to take a break for a while.
-You have not problem to get the unemployment benefit and it willnot hurt your I-485. But you need to find a job in the ame/imilar field as soon as possible in case USCIS wend you RFE for your employment status.

If I get laid off under H1-b, since I have EAD so I still can stay here right?
-As long as your I-485 is pending, you are legal to stay.
