為了更新DRIVER LICENSE， DMV 從我的USCIS 網上發現 我的身份有問題。 回學校國際中心詢問， 被告是我在半年前從H１B轉F１時， 得到F－１身份（１２月８號）後沒有向國際中心報道。 事實是得到F－１身份（１２月８號）後， F－１ 直接被USCIS郵寄到國際中心， 我發EMAIL問國際中心， 他們告訴我已複印了我地被批準的I－２０ 和I－９４。所以我認為一切正常， 注冊了學分， 做了RA工作。
-Your school International Student Office made a mistake that they did not put your F1 approval inofrmation into the SEVIS.

今天， 發現問題後，國際中心告訴我不得不REINSTATE 我的STATUS。 我的問題是：

１。REINSTATEMENT 我的 REINSTATE 的可能性。
-I do not think this will be a problem because it is obviously your school's fault.

如果被距， 我該怎麽辦？
-You have to leave US.


２。國際中心僅給我一個I－２０， 告訴我不能給老婆和孩子的I－２０，原因是他們說從USCIS網上打不出。 後又發EMAIL 告訴我原因是＂ Their status is connected to yours so nothing will have to be done to their status. Their status is whatever your status is.＂


３。 因為隻有我個人的I－２０， 在添I－５３９FORM時， 國際中心 告訴我 僅添我個人申請（＂Fill it out that you are the only applicant＂）

肯請問， 國際中心關於I－２０ 和 I－５３９的意見對嗎？
-Your name should be shown on the I-539, but your wife's and kid's names should have been inculded in the Form I-539-Supplement-1 (indicate that they changed their status from H4 to F2 with your F1 application together. Also, your wife's and kid's names should have been filled in the I-20 Dependent part. If all information was filled as I des-cribed here, they will be OK as long as your F1 is re-instated.

Have your wife and your kid received the F2 approval notice with the I-94 from USCIS when you received your F1 approval notice? If no, something may wrong. I am worry about whether your school messed up everything. Talk to your lawyer if necessary.


４。我從１２月８日到目是什麽身份 ？算非法嗎？
-Yes. But if your F1 is reinstated, the gap will be automatically filled.

考慮到我在一月份就丟了身份， 到現在已半年多， 是否對我們以後的入境有影響？
-Yes unless you reinstate your F1 within US.

５。 去 MEXICO 簽證的可能性？
-No


６。去 CANADA 簽證的可能性？
-No.

７。最嚴重的是小孩的 F－１剛被距，可能的原因就是查不到我的記錄。我該怎樣解決小孩的 F－１。是讓他單獨回大陸簽證？
-No until his status is reinstated

回大陸簽證的可能性有多大？考慮到我在一月份就丟了身份。
