my current H-1 will be still valid to allow me to continue work at current employer until the approval of the H-1 transfer, even though it would beyond the supposed starting employment date at new employer set in the H-1 transfer petition?
-Correct because one person can have several H1 at the same time. Unless your employer withdraw/cancel the H1, the H1 approval notice is still valid even if you do not work for the employer, but your H1 status with this employer will be invalid if you do not work for him.
