This is apparently not true, if LC invalidates itself after 180 days, the 140 filed/approved based on the LC will be invalid too.
-After you filed your I-140 when the PERM was still valid (approval less than 180 days), your I-140 will not be affected by this PERM unless the PERM was revoked due to cheating in the PERM application.


The LC only expires if no 140 is filed within 180 days. I guess I should rephrase my question this way:

Does USCIS stipulates that if 140 is withdrawn by the petitioner, does the underlying LC automatically becomes invalid?
