By the way, if you file I-140 and I-485 concurrently before you leave US, you may recieve fingerprinting appointment notice during your visiting China. If you can not do the fingpringting, your I-485 will be a problem. So, you may just file the I-140 before you leave and file the I-485/EAD/AP after you come back.
