我是公司已經開始辦理綠卡，很快就要遞交PERM申請。我現在想換到別的部門，雖然還是土木工程師，應用同樣的技能，但工作的對象有變化，現在是做transportation的項目，想去的部門做汙水處理的項目。在我擔心，到新的部門是否又要重新打廣告等等。

因為原來的廣告略有側重於transportation項目方麵的工程經驗，而新的職位可能會要求在汙水處理項目方麵的經驗－－當然，因為同樣是土木工程師，總的工作技能要求是一致的。

請指點，我什麽時候換到新崗位合適，現在？還是perm遞交以後，或是更後？再次感謝！
-PERM is position specific. You can not use the PERM for another position for your GC application. But you do not need file another PERM if you will come back to work with the PERM position some day later (e.g. after you get the GC). In this case, you can change your job whenever you want. But if you will not come back to work with your current/PERM position, you need to advertise a new PERM position and file the PERM for your new position.

Another case is that if you filed I-485 for > 180 days, you can change job/position within the same/silimar area. Obviously, it is not your case by this time.
